This piece is not satire.
On Sunday, June 29th, a week ago at the time of this writing, I took my son, wife, and dirt bikes into the mountains of North Idaho, specifically the Coeur d'Alene National Forest and an abandoned air strip that has a creek that runs along side with extensive camping and a lot of safe places for a nine year old boy to gain riding experience on a Honda 110 CRF.
There's open areas, somewhat rocky areas, trails with roots, and drops and rises -- all good, light terrain to help a young child get seat time and learn basic skills on an offroad motorcycle.
We were approaching the late afternoon hours and the sun going down behind the nearby mountain tops when it was finally time to pack up and head home. We drove our vehicle and motorcycle trailer a few miles on dirt roads in the direction of Coeur d'Alene and an outside town we live at twenty minutes or so from the lake. Finally, still deep in the national forest, we turned right on to a bridge over a river and on the other side were met by what I thought was a heavily armed DUI patrol.
Two Shoshone County Sheriff deputies and two police cars were stopped in front of us, the deputies standing with assault rifles, apparently ready to ask us some questions.
It is the national forest and people in this area are known to come out to shoot guns, so a heavily armed DUI patrol didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.
It turns out this was anything but an ordinary stop. I was told there was an active shooter in the direction we were heading and that this route into Coeur d'alene could take us right into that area, the Fernan Saddle above the backside of Canfield Mountain -- a mountain I know well from hikes and a lot of challenging dirt biking in recent years.
Nettleton Gulch, the same area currently in the news the last 24 hours, is the staging area, where hikers and bikers park their vehicles before heading off on a day's adventure up the mountain. Right now it's on fire, a wildfire set by the shooter who's now dead himself after having set the fire on purpose in order to ambush fire fighters who arrived courageously on to the scene not knowing that this would be the last fire they would fight, the shooter an absolute douche bag loser that somehow never showed up on the FBI's radar.
Maybe that's because Biden's FBI had flooded the current watchlist with every day Americans from all walks of life, draining resources and sending clueless agents on a wild goose chase leading to nowhere but perhaps Christian parents speaking up at a PTA meeting about keeping the filth from the LGBTQ lifestyle out of their children's classrooms and libraries.
Under President Biden, the three letter agencies across the board fostered a "crack pipe" mentality. The "big picture" and "all the facts" go out the window. It's a very focused and deluded approach to law enforcement and investigations that creates the environment for corrupt leadership like former director Christopher Wray and Kimberly Cheadle, former director of the Secret Service and also infects many of the long time lifers under their leadership.
Dan Bongino probably called it a clown show more than once. I can't recall the exact words he may have used but whatever words he was using I'm sure he was calling it right that day.
I've been a writer in various forms going back more than two decades since my early twenties. Nowadays, I write satire -- what I call Conservative satire and I have used it more than once to illustrate the evils of the Radical Left Democrats. Considering that I just found myself in the middle of a national news story, today I'm writing just to write something, but this is not satire, not in any way.
Perhaps just to share some other points of looking at this story that hits close to home.

Here's what I haven't shared about June 29, the day of the shooting.
Saturday, the day before the shooting, a guy I ride with canceled our planned Sunday ride near the distant mountain town of St. Maries due to mechanical issues with his bike. That said, I made the decision to stay local and ride Canfield Mountain, staging very near the same location as the shooter would that same day.
We almost crossed paths.
But before I could load up and leave home for Canfield, Sunday morning, I got a call from another friend inviting me out to the abandoned airstrip deep in the national forest where he and others were camped out with their kids and dirt bikes on a creek. At the last minute I decided to pack up my wife and son and head there -- I'd make it a family day.
Otherwise my experience on Sunday, the day of the shooting, could have been much different. I could have easily been close by when the shooting and wildfire took place, parked within a few hundred yards.
I thank God for looking out for me and that friend inviting me out to the abandoned airstrip instead.
That said, I pray for the families and any children of the lost fire fighters and anyone else taken by the shooter that weren't so lucky.
After all this has transpired, I have some tips for the people of North Idaho and other states at risk of arson-set wildfires. I have brought this up in the past in Facebook posts shared on a business page I own in years past -- "public service" type posts that had tons of reads, likes, and shares and touched a nerve with a lot of people across this area.
#1. We (many states) are always at risk of wild fire. Now with the rise of the Radical Left, including copycats, we are at a much higher risk. As I write this the next fire(s) is probably being planned by more than one person.
Nearby airports should have at least one fully loaded jumbo water tanker jet ready to be deployed at a moment's notice. That way wildfires could be extinguished fast and not allowed to grow in to LA style wildfires that we have seen countless times in recent years in multiple states and nations.
#2. Not just Radical Left-Tards, but others highly pissed off at the establishment, who hate life and have no friends or relationship with God, might decide to do this again, or worse. The next time this happens, if it happens, a fully loaded jumbo water tanker could wash these characters down the mountainside, helping neutralize any shooter and also putting out any fires that are burning at the same time -- take that crazy far left liberal lunatic.
I hope you know how to surf.
#3. Why are there so many active shooter threats nowadays? This is a symptom -- a symptom of a nation I believe that has been cursed.
No matter how hard our leaders try, the threats are growing and becoming more common place. It's getting worse. My advice is for our nation to start seeking God and God's will for us. If you read the Bible, I don't think Jesus is interested in "Make America Great Again." What Jesus wants from us is to make the people right with God and to prepare for what is unfolding now with Israel.
Right now, in America, we need a literal 'big fish' in the Atlantic ocean to cough up an Old Testament "Jonah", someone that can stand up in Washington DC and call this nation to repentance. Will President Trump be that leader? He needs faith advisors not afraid to speak up. He needs solid Biblical counsel. Or America is going to miss the boat, so to speak.
"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."
We need to do what the ancient Israelites were called to do on more than one occasion throughout the Bible in the centuries before the coming of Christ. Stop worshiping false idols, stop the murders, stop the rampant sexual immorality, stop the adultery, stop the thefts, stop the corruption -- and the list goes on. We need to put God first in our lives.
If that doesn't happen as a nation (and I don't think it's going to happen -- there's just way too much widespread darkness across the United States), we need to start living our lives as though each day could be our last. Encourage your children to have a relationship with Jesus, and for everyone in your household to be reading the Bible.
And take it seriously. Otherwise...
"It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all." Luke 17:28-29
Several years back I was writing Christian op-ed pieces. One article I wrote (under a pen name at the time on a survival website I later sold several years ago) was called "The Bible Scenario -- Is the United States in the Bible?"
I was a younger writer, not very keen about politics, etc, but as a new Christian at that time it really seemed as though the United States, though it's not named specifically in the Bible, actually may be referenced by other terms several times throughout the Bible. If anything, the article is an entertaining read, and may or may not be right in its conclusions.
But it's still a theory I have -- that the United States actually is referenced in the Bible, and it's specifically referred to as "Mystery Babylon the Great" in the pages of Revelation.
We can all have our theories and opinions about Bible prophecy. This is my theory. And if the United States turns out to be Mystery Babylon the Great -- this affects us all.
And if that is the case -- it absolutely affects us all.
Will the next Jonah please stand up -- assist the Trump Administration's faith advisors with solid Biblical counsel?
Someone in DC needs to rise up and stand in the gap.

And what about the subject of illegal immigration? The Biden Administration opened up a serious can of worms for the Trump Administration. YES -- LET'S GET THE LARGE NUMBER OF ILLEGALS OUT THAT ARE HERE FUELING VIOLENT CRIME, TRAFFICKING, AND GANG ACTIVITY.
But what about the rest? Here's the problem I see with just kicking out large numbers.
We invited them in. Many endured physical hardship, beatings, robbery, rapes and the murder or kidnapping of loved ones on their journeys.
We created an app.
We opened up the borders. We put them on planes, trains, and busses.
We probably advertised on the radio, tv, and across the internet.
And that is the can of worms the Biden Administration dumped on the Trump Administration.
If anyone else sees the big picture, there's a serious opportunity for the United States as a nation under the Trump Administration to earn God's blessing; or perhaps we simply just incur God's wrath.
The parable of the sheep and goats comes to mind. Matthew 25:31-46.
It is a frightening parable, if anyone is brave enough to read it.
The words of Jesus -- for us today? May God have mercy on us and give our leaders the wisdom and revelation needed for the times we are living in.
